up on the roof.............

.............a photo from Ray who went up the tower of Bath Abbey this afternoon. This is the roof of the nave.

The two young ladies who conducted this tour do six tours a day, each one is 212 steps up - and down of course.

There was a very popular song back in 1962 by the Drifter's [Up On The Roof] that would fit this quit well. Also there is "Step in Time" from Mary Poppins when Bert, Mary and the children were on the roofs above London with the chimney sweeps.
