I took a different route home from the hairdresser's this morning & called in at Falconhigh, hoping for a couple of shots.

I found this barn owl just having breakfast.

Unfortunately I was too slow getting the camera out to capture the whole chick but just managed this shot of its claws.

Little feet peeping out of that mouth Hazel, I think I'm glad it had almost all gone! We had a stray falcon in our woods today. It had gone out of its area while they were flying it. Some amazing trackers to find its whereabouts but they got it in the end.
