@quietpurplehaze Now I believe that's about right more detail in scarf and coat don't you think Hazel, I'm interested to know how you achieve this result I would have used the curve adjustment just to work on the darker tones:)
Peter I used 'levels' on Faststone to lighten it, had used 'curves' to darken it. I do little processing and I think FastStone only allows one to work on the whole photo but it could well be that it does have the option of working on parts of photos but I don't know how to do it!
@onewing
Yes, it is free,Babs, came recommended by our photography group leader. It just asks for an optional donation when you download it - £5 suffices. I like it, adequate for what I want to do and as I said above, I guess I still don't understand all of it. It stores your photos too.
@quietpurplehaze Thanks for that Hazel. I am looking at telling people who come to our photo course about the free options are, for those who havent got photoshop or lightroom
I guessed that was what you wanted Babs. It's pretty comprehensive and comes with online instructions which I am not very diligent at reading, preferring to play with what I want to do! Hope the course goes well.
I'm not sure ! What do you think? Thanks for taking the trouble to critique.
