Clare, our daughter, recently put her self-employed silversmith's hat on and crafted me this hammered silver bangle with 3 kinetic charms, garnet, amethyst, & owl motif, which move on little rings.
She has told me that it takes some patience to photograph her jewellery for her web page and I certainly understand after trying artificial light, natural light, different backgrounds, different settings on the camera etc etc and only coming up with this shot. Out of time and energy to try any more!
Lucky you having such a beautiful & distinctive bracelet made by your daughter. Obviously made with great love, there will never be another exactly like it....a very talented girl Hazel!
Beautiful - she is talented. What a nice gift to receive. You did a nice job of photographing it. (not sure if you are using this shot on her site or not, or if you want feedback but in case ... I think the charms are beautifully displayed but I was thrown off a little by the circular pattern in the center of the bangel. It almost appeared to be part of the silver at first and after reading that it was a bangel I figured it out.)
No not using this for Clare's site. I think it's the pattern on the material of the cushion (Clare made that too) which was confusing and I do understand what you mean. It was very hard to find a background to use to photograph the bangle but I could think about using plain material another time. I think the main difficulty is the 'shine' from the silver.
