lovely picture, I have the same shot, we were there last autumn. The bridge is connected to the one in Florence isn't it? the water looks lovely over the weirs
Lovely picture Hazel, which brought back so many memories - I used to manage the Fernley Hotel on North Parade, very close to where you are. Beautiful city.
Oh Hazel this looks a fabulous place. I have never been to Bath ....should do as my grandfather was brought up here, name of Nash too which has connections with the city. Those buildings are very beautiful & that weir a beautiful sight.
Wow! Nice photo ... then I thought ... wait this kid from northern Minnesota has been there! (my wife left America to attend the University of Bath). Thus, loved the photo for many reasons.
Hazel - I believe the Fernley Hotel is now part of one of the ubiquitous hotel chains. It's the big building on the corner which looks towards the bridge. When I was there it was a c50 room hotel with restaurant plus French café plus Danish café plus a pub, which got very lively on rugby days! Lovely lovely city - I adored living there.
More connections - after owls!!!
Bridge was finished by 1774!
Worth a trip, Pat - our 2nd time.
It's now called The Compass Hotel. And I would adore living here, Lynette!
