How could I do this to a flower which was originally a beautiful purple?!
Never fear the real thing is probably still a beautiful purple ! & this is a great shot in B&W.

I'm not sure how you could do that Hazel...knowing how much you (we) love purple...but is works really well. The checkered look is good i b&w!

Beautiful detail. the b&w really brings out the pattern. You can post this in colour too if you feel bad about draining this flower of its colour.
