mon ami, l'escargot by quietpurplehaze

mon ami, l'escargot

"Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school............."

(with apologies (& thanks) to Will)

Never thought I would take a photo of a snail. But when I got up close and personal to get the shot, I felt a bit sorry for him with that 'satchel' on his back, making his ungainly way across our patio.

But this morning I saw Ray's eryngium in a pot is leafless and my sympathy for the snails in our garden evaporated.

Processed in negative and frame mask on FastStone.

btw, many thanks everyone for all the favs on Jinks' photo in this album yesterday. I'm sure he would be pleased if he could understand!!!!!!
That's very good Hazel.
