One of our two dogs communicates with "different" barks for different things too. Our problem has been learning what each means. Have to admit, we're doing pretty good at it these days.
I know. It's amazing. And Jinks knows when visitors are coming to the house. He starts barking/crying and running back and forth to the front door. And when they arrive, we find the time he started coincides with the time they left home. He's no lap dog but when a friend visited for the first time since her husband died, Jinks got on the sofa and sat with her all evening.
Haha!!! He does have more teeth - and two eyes!!!!
And thanks for your comments. I'm sure he would be interested if I could explain it to him. He loves people! But not all dogs!
