We had a cold and windy walk along the prom at Lee-on-Solent today and found Caffe Lee where we could take Jinks. I was 'wearing' my camera of course and Sarah behind the counter commented on it and I soon found out that she has a BTec in photography. One of the modules for this involved taking selfies and she was obviously creative in what she produced.
Sarah used to run a franchise for Snappy Snaps but told me that the advent of digital 'killed print'. She agreed that photography is a great passion to have but now has not picked up a camera for 7 years.
Caffe Lee has only been open for 8 weeks and we had a great full English for our lunch. Jinks liked the sausages and we'll definitely be paying a return visit on our next winter seaside walk.
A lovely portrait , quite a twinkle in those eyes ! Yes , alloy of the printing firms have gone now --I used to send my films to be developed by TRUPRINT !! In those days if we went abroad on holiday ,I remembering packing around 6 rolls of films of 24 prints and then sending them to Truprint on returning home and waiting another week or so before getting the prints . !! One had to be a lot more choosy in what one captured !! No shooting and deleting at will in those days !!
snappy snaps, i seem to recall them Haze, cheap and chearful I think.
I think there is a regeneration in high street print shops now as people are printing photos from digital memory cards and smart phones .
Agree with @happypat , I think you might inspire Sarah :)
