single mindedness

I converted this shot from colour for the challenge I am doing on FB to post a b&w photo each day for 7 days. Then I thought I would post it on 365 too.

It's still strange getting used to Jinks not being here, and returning to the house I still somehow expect him to be.

In my photo he was on holiday beside the seaside with his friend Hattie (and us 4 adults). By their rapt attention I thought they were expecting a titbit. But Ellie, mostly out of shot, tells me she was holding a tennis ball.

Definitely a treat then and strange that however many toys a dog has, they always seem to prefer a discarded tennis ball to play with.

I like the little blur of Jinks' wagging tail.
