Thank you everyone for the interest in my two recent portraits, Eve, the Saxon lady, and Rodney who coppices hazels and looks after dormice and whose portrait I posted yesterday.
He showed me this photo of a dormouse curled up in his wife's hand with its bushy tail over its face.
I have made this little collage which also shows the nest box provided for the dormice. With its 'lid' on it looks like a bird box and is fastened to a tree.
A mouse named after you Hazel....you won't forget that name! This is a big step up from a house mouse, as long as they are outside I like them....it does look very sweet!
I've just had 5 mice in our house.....but got them on traps.
I think that I am going colour-blind!
