The first of this month in southern England was bright and sunny but with a bitingly cold, strong wind. Late afternoon it started to rain, quietly at first but then coming down diagonally in torrents, sometimes with hail mixed in. It made for an interesting sunset and the neighbours' dormer window was aglow.
Really dramatic shot. I looked out and saw a similar sky, but lazily couldn't be bothered to go outside. I also put washing out for the first time for a few months - and it dried! Fav.
That sky is so colourful but the best bit for me is the way that the reflection in the dormer window makes it look like a woodburner.! Same weather here today & we have just had hail on the window.
that's one impressive golden glow hazel
I thought we were going to get an impressive sunset tonight as it was sunny with some nice clouds at 4pm and then by 5pm is was grey skies all over :(
Wow, what an amazing sky and I love the reflection on the window.
We had a terrific storm here last night because it had been so hot during the day, but we didn't have a sunset like this to finish it off.
We had the same weather here, unfortunately I got caught out in it, soaked!! so wasn't in the mood to go out again. Fantastic image Hazel, really sums up the weather we had
Nick, thank you - didn't quite know what to do when I saw it, which camera or lens to use!!!! (Pseudo headless chicken!)
Thank you. The most exciting part was getting two loads of washing dry on the line and getting it in just before the rain started!

Mmm - yes, think anyone would have been soaked here in about 2 minutes!!
