This photo illustrates our lake freezing up and it almost looks like a pathway leading you out to the lake. I certainly wouldn't walk on it though, it will have to get much colder before the fish huts and snowmobiles go out there.
I bet there will be a lot of ice fishing out there - tried that a couple of times in Colorado and loved it. Pretty colors here on the lake. I'd take some of that white stuff of yours!
P.S. Forgot to say Thanks for the enthusiastic comment you wrote on Kirby the Elf's picture! Kirbs is really the coolest bird to work with when it comes to taking pictures of my parrots. He'll just sit wherever you put him down and stay put, unless you bring out the hat. He splits if I make any move towards his head with a hat. Maybe someday I'll convince him it's not going to eat him and then I won't have to photoshop the hat into the picture.
WOW....this is so amazing! Wonderful lighting and the vastness of the lake is awesome. Can't wait to see the fishing huts on the lake. Soooo cold though! fav for me
