This turbulent sky reminded me of the November gales in Gordon Lightfoot's song about the Edmund Fitzgerald which sank November 10th, 40 years ago on Lake Superior.
Thanks so much for putting yesterday photo "Sunset" on the PP, what a pleasant surprise!!
WHOA...amazing sky and capture. Loved that song, but hoping that doesn't happen now...especially with that beautiful sail boat ... that is yours, right?
@eyesmile Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment Gena, unfortunately that is not our sail boat, we have a power boat which is put away until next year!! :(
That really is some cloud there, looming just over the water. Looks as though rain is already falling from it. Perfect timing for this type of sky considering the historic date.
You now have me humming, "The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down to the big lake they call Gitcheegoome"... I love Gordon Lightfoot!! And I love this shot too. Beautiful.
@olivetreeann My roommate in college was a big Gordon Lightfoot fan, and I listened to quite a few of his songs! Now, Kathy and you have got me humming, too... ;-))) Wonderful rain laden clouds....so dramatic and dark! Love them!
