During a early morning swim I noticed a white spot amongst the pine trees. I quickly realized it was an eagle and proceeded to get out of the water and onto the boat as we were in the middle of the lake, to take a photo from quite a distance away!
Most of the photos I took were blurry as a result of the waves we were experiencing, fortunately this one was acceptable.
This eagle remained in the same spot for well over a half hour. I will return there again to see if he/she is nesting. It made for an exciting swim this morning! :)

What a fabulous photo. It mist have made your morning swim! Although there is quite a bit of noise in your image when looking close up, it is still great image and one which you forgive and imperfections. I do hope that when you return they are nesting and you manage to get some more shots - look forward to seeing them.
Glad you had time to get back to the boat for a picture. he does look regal. let's hope they'll be nesting so we can look forward to more amazing pictures. fav.
