January Wolf Moon by radiogirl

January Wolf Moon

Each moon has its own name associated with the full moon. In January, it's known as the "wolf moon," inspired by hungry wolves that howled outside of villages long ago, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.
I liked how this moon kept popping in and out of the clouds!

Thank you for your comments and favs on yesterday's photo of a "Chickadee", much appreciated!
That is an eerie looking sky. Nice capture. I think wolf moon is a good name for this moon. Fav.

My favorite is always the ones popping in and out of clouds. The one here isn’t going to pop out though...heavy rain, lightening and thunder

Beautiful capture and very dramatic sky. It was very similar to this here yesterday. Because of my laziness I didn't get the camera to capture it from my own garden.
