with the sound of music? No, with the gorgeousness of the sun's rays at sunset a couple of days ago. They look like they could be covered in flowers, they are so rosy pink.
I was told that the red and green were a better contrast here than in my last 'scenic' photo I posted on here. What do you think? :) I'd love to know!
@lorraineb I assume PSE is a program. If so, then no we don't; Jocelyn has PS3, and I use that whenever I can. :) And why is it a shame that the grass in front is dark, might I ask? :)
@raejae I was asking if you have photoshop, it might just be how it looks on the screen, sometimes 365 images look darker than in real life, the grass just looks black in some areas to me. But the hills do look amazing, they remind me of a pair of paintings my parents have of the mountains in Scotland, the colours are the same, beautiful!! : ))
@raejae No, my painting comes from my Uncle Roy on my fathers side, he was a great uncle, he played music too : )) The paintings were passed down to me but by an unknown painter, although they're still at mum and dads right now. I have a painting of my uncles here, its a copy of a Modigliani, do you know that artist?
@raejae I did a painting last year based on this artist, I'd add it as a pic but its put away at the moment because we moved house. What artist is your fave?
@raejae and Frida's husband http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Rivera But please seek advice from your family on looking at these artists, they were controversial at their time. My all time favourite is Jacques Louis David, although he even caused a stir, not an uncommon thing amongst artists!! ; ))) look at this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:David_Vilain.jpg Oh I could go on forever!! More tomorrow! Tell me whats ok and Whats not ok?!?!?
@lorraineb - couldn't help but comment on your comment, my favoruite of artwork by Jacques Louis David would have to be "The Death of Marat" - I always found the story fascinating. (sorry raejae, rather off topic!)
@joluise No problem... I do it all the time to people. :)
@lorraineb I looked at all the pages... they look like interesting people. I'll read more about them tho. That painting by David Vilain is really nice! I love portraits like that. :) thanks for sharing them with me. I'd love to see some of YOUR artwork... do you have a website or photos posted somewhere? :)
@clarajvannattan @joluise thank you!
Were your parents painters too? or did they just have the paintings? I love Scotland.
