I can't blame them. The cows here are doing the same thing, hanging out under the trees in the shade. I think they are tired of his heat.

We were driving through the mountains of southern Virginia and I spotted this pasture. All the cattle in this field were lying down. I was worried it might mean a major rainstorm (old wives tale - it's going to rain if the cows are lying down) but it didn't happen while we were around. I think it might have been the heat like @homeschoolmom suggested.
