I thought it gave this photo a little class to give it a French title. Anyway, heavy duty thunderstorm went through this afternoon and when I looked out, there was my sunflower.
Oh dear, I hope it didn't get broken off. Their heads are so heavy I suppose it would be tough to hold them up in a wind storm. Interesting that even the underside is beautiful in its own way.
@tunia It was on top of it. I thought the turquoise color was a nice contrast. Thank you Tunia. @julie Thank you Julie. @jamibann Just trying to be a bit artsy (which is a struggle). Thanks Issi. @pusspup Thank you Wylie. @craftymeg Thank you Margaret @lyndemc It didn't break cleanly, but wouldn't have survived. So I clipped it and brought it inside. Thank you Denise. @pyrrhula We're on the same track. I did cut it off and put it in a vase. Looks pretty good on my kitchen table. Thank you.
@cocobella Well I had a little Google help with the French. Thank you for viewing and commenting. I did put it in a vase. @lyndemc Never quite got to the still life this week, Denise. Thanks for the encouragement.

I hope you have given this flower a second chance ... in a vase in your living room !
