Lisa, my get-pushed partner this week asked me to take a photo from my Favorites, note why I liked it, and recreate the photo.
I chose the image by shepherdmanswife
( http://365project.org/shepherdmanswife/365/2017-07-22 ) because it was of flowers (of course) and because of the soft golden light. Not able to actually get that light today, I decided to try to process the image I did take to try and come up to it. That light is difficult to recreate electronically. I think this is always a good challenge. It gives other members an opportunity to mentor other photographers.
By the way, I'm sorry not to have viewed and commented or responded to comments in the past two days, and perhaps not tomorrow. I will get back with you all.
@homeschoolmom Lisa, here's a first attempt to recreate a favorite image of mine by @shepherdmanswife, who I hope takes no offense. Anyway, I think if I get time (some medical things going on this week, not many good photo ops at the VA) I will try something else. Thank you for the challenge. I
Well done Kathy. Lovely photo. You didn't have the light, as you said, that I did which is a shame. But as we all know, it is not always possible to have the right lighting as Mother Nature just does her own thing. I still think you got a very pleasing result with a lovely soft, uncluttered background and a beautiful and colourful flower. 😊
@olivetreeann Thank you Ann. I'm afraid it's not the same kind of light. @tosee Thank you Tom @shepherdmanswife Thank you for your comments, Chantal. I hope to acheive some of the beauty that you achieve. I'll keep watching and emulating. @mandygravil Thank you Mandy. I appreciate your support. @julie Thank you Julie. I posted an original of the this flower. ( http://365project.org/randystreat/extras/2017-07-27 )You can see it's much pinker. I was going for the golden light in the photo that was one of my favorites (see explanation above for link to that photo). @peterlgrave Thank you Peter.
