Get-Pushed 280 - Oil & Water #1

My get pushed partner, Saxa, challenged me to create an abstract with oil and water. The challenges to complete this were to get the light and colors just right and to get the focus on the bubbles. If you'd like to view two more, here are the links:

Hi Kathy, I love the sharpness of the bubbles, as well as the colors. You've done such a wide variety of challenges! How about for Get Pushed this week you look through some of your favorite photos (of your own) and repeat the subject but with a different technique? In other words, if you took an abstract spoon picture, photograph the spoon again, but representationally. Or if you took a low-key cat photograph, you try to repeat the same photo, but with high-key. Let me know if that doesn't work for you, and I'll come up with something else.

I've never been able to get a good shot of oil and water. Yours came out really nice!

@olivetreeann Thank you. A shallow wide and long flat dish to hold the water would be the best thing I can recommend. I used a big glass serving bowl, but couldn't get the right angle most of the time.
