Etta Baker

Photos used taken yesterday and compiled today. Tomorrow's photo club theme is the Branzier method. According to Wikipedia, the Brenizer Method, sometimes referred to as Bokeh Panorama or Bokehrama, is a photographic technique characterized by the creation of a digital image exhibiting a shallow depth of field in tandem with a wide angle of view. Created by use of panoramic stitching techniques applied to portraiture, it was popularized by photographer Ryan Brenizer. I attempted it but am afraid I didn't set my focus to manual, so I didn't quite get the bokeh effect called for. "stitching" the photos together was very time consuming. This photo used 6 separate photos. May go back this evening and try it again.

Etta Baker was a local blues guitarist who became known later in her life.

It may not meet the assignment requirements, but it's still a good shot.

This sounds like an awful lot of hard work has gone into this!

@pyrrhula @olivetreeann @fbailey Thank you Ferry, Ann and Felicity. I did go back and photograph it again last evening. I was more successful with the technique because I got closer to the statue. Apparently the background is supposed to be out of focus, which I didn't realize until I did further research between the first and second shootings. I should have used a zoom lens rather that the prime lens I used. Oh well, perhaps I will try this again in the future.
