Grace Episcopal Church by randystreat

Grace Episcopal Church

This is not "my" church, but I do have a connection to it. This church started the hospital which was across the street from the church in 1906 and started the nursing school in 1910. By the time I had an association with it, the nursing school had affiliated with a college in a nearby town.

This is the place where I got my first cap and cross when I officially started the nursing part of my college degree. The cap had no stripes, signifying I was a junior student and the cross (styled after the cross worn by the Episcopal priest who started the hospital) was void of engraving. Stripes and engraving were done at the time of graduation.
Great shot and nice you have a connection to it

Nice shot-you have a really nice history with this church and it seems this church has a good history with the town.

@olivetreeann Thank you Ann. Yes, it's not as old as some other churches (which have revolutionary era histories) but a good one anyway.
