May 1 Tulip Lace by randystreat

May 1 Tulip Lace

Just a "snap" of today's activity. I'm making a prayer shawl, but doing it sampler-style by choosing my own selection of patterns. This pattern comes from a "stitch a day" calendar given to me a number of years ago.
Can we see the finished shawl? Have never heard of a prayer shawl - what a lovely idea for a calendar too

What a unique calendar! And such a neat project. I second the request to see the finished shawl when you’re done.

What a lovely shot, and some challenging knitting ahead, by the looks of things.

What a lovely idea, it will make it so much easier with all the different patterns, I hope you show us the finished result. !

I like the patterns and the colors. The text on the calendar is "abracadabra" for me :) (But I guess my wife will understand it)

@fbailey I will take a photo of it before I give it to my neighbor. I like to knit things with specific people in mind. I think of the person with most every stitch.
@kwind Thank you Kim.
@mcsiegle Thank you Mary. The calendar has been handy when I knit socks. I can often find a pattern to "dress up" the legs on a plain pair of socks. I would be happy to show off the shawl when I'm though.
@pusspup Thank you Wylie. As knitted items go, this is not very hard.
@jamibann Thank you Issi. The most challenging things are deciding what pattern to knit each band of color and trying not to run out of yarn before finishing.
@craftymeg Thank you Margaret. It's less boring with the different patterns. I would be happy to post a photo of the finished product. @tosee Thank you Tom.
@ziggy77 Thank you Jo.
@hajeka Thank you Henk-Jan. Your wife wouldn't have a bit of trouble with it from what I've seen of her work.
@tunia I'll post a photo Tunia.
@pyrrhula Thank you Ferry.
@olivetreeann Thank you Ann.
