Come Ye Thankful People, Come

Come, ye thankful people, come,
raise the song of harvest home;
all is safely gathered in,
ere the winter storms begin.
God our Maker doth provide
for our wants to be supplied;
come to God's own temple, come,
raise the song of harvest home.
What a cornucopia!! So colourful. I do like the balance of your composition

Yes, in general we have a lot to the thankful for - although we sometimes forget! Good to have an occasion to remind ourselves. Happy Thanksgiving Kathy - albeit it a day late.

I must have eaten too much turkey because I've been lazy the past several days when I haven't been involved in cooking and eating and entertaining. Sorry for all the late comments on your photos. I hope those who celebrated the holiday had a good one. I appreciate and am grateful to all of you.

@randystreat
No apology necessary, it is a very bust time of year! Have a good day!

I love that song. It’s a great accompaniment to your shot.

@mcsiegle I thouht it fit. And we sang it, too. (I'm a member of the choir.)The arrangement we sang had a verse with sort of a lilting dance sound, so I kept saying (much to the dismay of the choir director) that I could just see the Pilgrims dancing.
