Trumpet vine by randystreat

Trumpet vine

This vine has climbed a crape myrtle in my backyard and now that it's blooming, makes my yard look almost tropical.
Lovely colour and detail. Fav

@wakelys Thank you Susan.
@ziggy77 I appreciate your comment and fav Jo.
@grammyn Thank you. I don't know how or when it arrived in this tree. I understand they can be invasive and need to be seriously pruned in the spring and deadheaded before the flowers can form seeds. I'm not sure how I'll get to the topmost clusters. Perhaps I need to prune now.
@fbailey Thank you Felicity.
@pyrrhula I appreciate your comments Ferry. Thank you.

@randystreat - bring it on, my friend. especially take a macro of that inner portion, it looks like a little flower in itself but i suppose that's where the pollen would be.

Beautiful shot- it's tough when the flowers are so pretty but you have to pull them out otherwise they will kill off your tree.

@haskar Thank you. I think they're pretty, too.
@hajeka Thank you Henk-Jan. Yes. I think I'm going to have to hack them down soon. I really don't want the vine spreading all over the backyard.
@jb030958 Thanks so much Jennie.
@mikelskoog I appreaciate that Mikel.
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann. Yes. I'm afraid that's coming. The spent flowers are dropping.
