Get Pushed Challenge #443
My get pushed partner asked me to take a photo using the Rule of Odds and take the shot from a low angle. I was somewhat familiar with the rule of odds, having seen someone else challenged with this and I looked it up then. The bigger challenge was taking it from a low angle. What subject from where? While this doesn't look as if it were taken from a low angle, the peppers were on the countertop in the kitchen and I shot it from about half the distance between the counter and the floor.
@suez1e I hope this is satisfactory for the challenge. Even something that seems fairly straightforward can become a challenge. The rule of odds wasn't too hard, it was the angle it needed to be shot from that puzzled me. I guess I should have tried for birds on a wire. Thank you for the challenge and for getting me thinking.
This has turned out great with the lovely lighting to create the wonderful shadows.
The background is perfect to bring out the colours and textures of the peppers.
Well done and A FAV!
Great play of dark shadow against the colourful peppers!
PS If you don't do so already, peppers cut in quarters and baked in a high oven on a foil-lined tray for 30-40 mins, then skinned and put in a jar in olive oil are yummy! (Typical Tuscan style).
@grammyn Thank you Katy. @kwind Thanks Kim. @cdcook48 Thank you Chris. @mcsiegle The light was above and I put a backdrop underneath it to disguise the faucet and other "junk" around the sink. I guess the backdrop sort of channeled the light down around the peppers. (Don't you just love it when I talk photographerese?) @suez1e Thank you again. And I appreciate you looking out for me. I messed up the number last week too. I fixed them both. @jamibann Thanks Issi. They were past their prime. @wakelys Thank you Susan. @farmreporter Thank you very much Wendy. @will_wooderson Thank you Will. I did some peppers like that and made soup awhile back. I hope I can find that recipe and make it again as it was really tasty. @thewatersphotos Thank you so much Gary. @craftymeg Thank you Margaret. @haskar I appreciate your comments Hannah. @serendypyty Thanks Carole. @pyrrhula Thank you Ferry. @cocobella Thank you Corinne. They were a bit old but tasted good when cooked. @tunia I cut them up, drizzled some olive oil on them and roasted them for supper.
