Plow Day

Went went to this event. This is primarily what there was. Old and new farming implements and tools for sale and a lot of men standing around talking to each other.

@confectioner For some reason I started writing in plough, but we do spell it plow here. The most action with these guys was their mouths. They were catching up and making deals.

@barbtatum Yup - I guess anywhere there are farmers they do this.
@peterlgrave I've also heard that term, but I think they do more at ours than just farm type equipment.
@digitalrn Not much food Rick. I was surprised, too. There was a civil war reenactment going on in the next field so lots of people. Saw one food vendor.

@pyrrhula My husband's friend who told us about this said they used to have horses and plow. Perhaps because it was being held at a park they couldn't do it. They were going to have a tractor pull but we didn't stick around for that.

@randystreat The swapmeet has everything you can think of Kathy.A lot of people that restore old cars & motor bikes etc are there.I like to go and look as the students at one of the colleges here do up old stationary engines and have some of them running.

@peterlgrave They had some steam engines at this gathering. I've been to old engine shows that have a lot of them. My FIL used to run an old electric sock machine at the flea market many years ago.
