Flowers - Get Pushed Challenge 239

This was done using the Illustration Picture Effect in camera.
@francoise challenged me this week to photographing flowers in an unusual way, or an unusual setting? I took this photo of flowers in the grocery store and used a setting on my camera that I had not used before. I know that I've taken a "real" camera (not a cell phone) into a store before, but I've never felt comfortable taking any photos while in the store. So I felt very self conscious and was thinking up what I might say if one of the store employees confronted me about this behavior. Well, phew! No one did. The challenge last week encourage the use of another pciture effect on my camera. While getting to that, I saw there were others, too. So this week I thought I'd use one of the less realistic effects to shoot these flowers. Thank you Francoise for this challenge.

Beautiful image. I totally understand your discomfort having a 'real' camera in the store. I would be the same. The phone is much more discreet. Glad no-one bothered you!

@randystreat what a fun idea. I too have felt that camera moment in public places (including supermarkets). At those times I sort of think enviously of phone cameras! This effect works really well for the flowers here I think, keeps them beautiful and commercial at the same time.

So good that you overcame your initial trepidation of taking the camera into the store. The result is lovely! Congratulations on being selected a get-pushed finalist! Good luck!
