My Get Pushed partner challenged me to a photo with the theme of "mellow yellow".
Of course the song from my youth, "Mellow Yellow" immediately came into my head there it has been ever since. Doing a little research into the song I learned that In an interview with NME (June 18, 2011 edition), Donovan [Leitch] was asked what the song was actually about. He replied: "Quite a few things. Being mellow, laid-back, chilled out." So here's a mellow, calming photo of one of the roses I received this week. A bigger challenge was that they weren't yellow. But through the magic of Lightroom I present tones of yellow.
@portella Here is my submission for your challenge. An additional challenge I experienced was finding a subject for the photo. I don't gravitate to yellow. So I used one of the roses I received this week and worked a little Lightroom magic on it. I enjoyed the challenge because once again it put me outside my comfort zone, yet, "I'm so mellow, I'm so mellow."
