The iris

Get Pushed # 456
My Get Pushed partner challenged me to try creating a low key flower image. The challenge for me was getting enough light to the flower to illuminate it without lightening up the everything else. This is an iris from my garden and it was actually brought from my mother's garden when she moved here from Pennsylvania in 2006.
@pea Thank you for your challenge. I enjoyed experimenting on the best way to illuminate the bloom. I tried light from a lamp (not strong enough), light through the window (the beginning of this) and resorted to a little Photoshop help in the end to help darken the background where the sunlight had lightened it up.
