Into the Ocean.

This was taken Dec 30 of last year. I didn't get a chance at all today...:-( I really like this picture but to my surprise many people don't and please tell me why...as I am curious to hear your views. Work has been incredibly busy now that it is nearing the end of the year.

Well I think it's great! I must be missing something to dislike about it ;-) The only thing I have noticed, is that some people strongly dislike, if any areas of the photo are burnt white - lost all detail. But in this case it only adds to it, that the sly and ocean look one. Perhaps one could associate it with the concept of walking towards the light and then dislike it?
Tried my best to critique it, but I still love it :D

The other day I had someone fav something I put up as a last resort. A lot of it has to do with taste too! This is a great picture, I love how the horizon disappears into nothing. I think people sometimes follow photographers because of a specific interest - and if most of your followers are watching what you are doing with macro or nature, they may simply not be that interested in a human shot - but if you were mostly doing people, you'd have those kinds of followers, who'd probably love this, but maybe ignore a wasp on a bottlebrush....

I love this image! There is mystery and intrigue in the lovely subject walking away from the photographer into the horizon. Very artistic, perfect for b&w - well done!

I think it's wonderful! I love the way the sky is washed out - adds mystery to the shot.

I like this, Red - love the small toe prints left behind the walker and the casual pose with hand draped in pockets. . .

I like it too, in particular the washed out sky. Maybe people don't like cowboy hats by the sea?

I love this shot. It looks perfect in B&W with the sky melting into the water. The foreground with the footprints and the rocks with the wave lapping up against them give it depth. Great job!

The people that don't like it are probably a bunch of guys that think she is wearing too much clothing! ;-) Don't know what there is to dislike about it. Don't worry, sometimes I'll post a photo that I just love and it will hardly get any comments.

@jillmstruss Thanks. I processed it as this day it was badly overcasted and you couldn't see anything. It was so dull in color and for some reason it looks better this way.

I was just thinking myself that it is usually the pics I hate that get all the views and Fave and the ones I think are amazing get little to no response.
I think yours is great.
I like the contrast and the simple line of rocks on the right & the white area only adds to it
