Never got any chance to capture the moon at the weekend due to clouds. And these really have nothing to do with the moon. Not sure what they are called but the fly in swarms around the ponds in the park. Thought it was a bit fun getting a close up of them. Went to the park to get some other shots, failed, but that's another story... :)
Must be viewed with magnifier - much more details then.
I agree with marlboromaam I think they are mayflies too. I can recall going on vacation some years ago to Lake Erie and everything was literally covered with these. It was one huge mating season for them. Great capture Eva!!
@dauber You are right - they do look like fairies! Thanks for the fav. @marlboromaam You are right about their name. Thanks for your lovely comment and fav! Please do pin. @humphreyhippo Thanks for your very kind comment. @skipt07 They was an enormous amount of them. Thanks for helping me with their name and for your encouraging comment. @gabsview Very kind of you to think so. Thanks. @betsyg Thank you!! :) @leilaboyd Glad you like it. Thanks. @maggiemae I have tried to capture them before, but since they are so tiny I have only got a blur. But somehow I managed better this time.
@myautofocuslife@daisymaeyo@princesicita@ruthmouch@paintdipper Thank you all so very much for your lovely and encouraging comments. I am so happy that you like it, because I have tried to capture them before and failed, and I am really pleased with the background colour from the pond and how the little "fairies" finally let me capture them on camera. :)
@netkonnexion Thanks! :)
@louisefrance Thanks - I agree it's a lot better large.
