By day, I am a freshwater research scientist (underwater optics, remote sensing), a lab director, and an officer of our company. In my free time (which is never enough) I love to spend time taking pictures, working on my model train layout (N-scale) or hanging out with my family. I've dabbled in photography for most of my life and had a number of 35 mm film cameras and made the move to digital with the purchase of my Canon Rebel XT (350D). Now I have a Canon Powershot G1X, an IPhone and a Canon 5D Mark III. I like taking photos of nature, landscapes, water, and stuff (the rustier the better). Not so good with the people pictures though... but that's ok. There's lots of STUFF out in the world waiting for me to get out there and photograph it.
