Second day of my iPhone camera project. I was greeted by three tropical Hibiscus blooms in a pot on my front steps this morning. This one, with the shadow of the pistil, reminded me of a shot that was posted by Anazad a few days ago. In the spirit of trying new things , I also downloaded Snapseed today and played with it on my IPad.
Elizabeth: I am sorry that you have camera problems, needed repairs, etc. It served you well- you've posted some stunning photos from your trip.
Nonetheless, there is absolutely nothing wrong with using your iPhone for Project photos. Any camera is appropriate. AND capable of taking quality photos. Such as this. This is beautiful.
For most of my first year at Project 365, I restricted myself to ONLY using my cellphone camera (a much less powerful [ie. only 3Mpixels!] one than an iPhone). I look back at some of the shot I took then & I cringe, but, from the start, my credo was to take snaps of things that caught my eye in the course of my everyday life. I did take some good photos with the cellphone. In fact, having forgotten my camera running late for work, I used it for my photo of the Day just last week.
I have seen some beautiful photos created with a cardboard box pinhole camera.
Whatever works.
Anyhow- this is a beautiful shot & I am glad I follow you so that I can perhaps learn from some of your great photography. Merry Christmas!
@jrambo001 Thanks John for your kind comments and support! It's true that the camera's not the one taking the shots. It's the person behind it. So I'm actually looking forward to this new challenge. I may also get out my old point and shoot camera and try that one as well!
Beautiful hibiscus! Such a vibrant color.....yes, Snapseed is supposed to be a great photo editing tool. I think it will be fun to try different things and step out of our comfort zone!
