Dangerous Beauty

Beautiful but potentially deadly, the tubular blooms of the Foxglove add drama to the garden but their leaves are considered toxic because they contain digitalis -- a potent heart medicine.

Thanks to all for faving yesterday's Leaning into the Light to the PP! I also just noticed that The Wedge made it to the PP earlier this week as well! Wow!
Stunning picture.

Toxic, yes. Consequently, we can't have them in our back yard because we have tittle reptiles who wander the yard that like to eat the foliage....

Beautiful shot! I had no idea they were toxic! No wonder they don't want our pets to wander in the yards outside....so many things are toxic to them!
