If there's one perfect spot on the planet, this is it for me! I never need to move more than about 5 feet in any direction and I can see the whole world go by. Birds soaring, boats sailing by, small planes landing and taking off, the light changing as the sun comes up and does down. All the wonders of nature from one vantage point. Although there are countless picturesque places in these islands, all my favorite photos this week were taken right here on this deck! It sits about 600 feet above the waterline with a 180 degree view of the San Juan Islands, Washington state and Western Canada. I'm pretty sure it doesn't get any better than this.
