During the Hpaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival in Myanmar, teams of leg-rowers in traditional Shan State dress, take part in a boat parade across the wide expanse of the lake, with thousands of onlookers jammed into small boats, cheering them onward. Pilgrims from all over the country come to celebrate this annual Fall festival with family and friends.
They look so precarious! With paddles sort of every which way. Wonderful image with great colors -- green boat, orange, pinks, colorful flags -- so much fun to look at. And then, they all have intense expressions -- working hard!
