Sunset. Inle Lake, Myanmar. The fishermen have brought in the day's catch as we watch the last of the sun's rays light up the sky. Local fishermen here are known for a distinctive style of balancing on one leg and wrapping the other around the oar to row the boat. They use the conical shaped-net to slap the water to trap the fish. This shot begins a series on this ancient fishing technique which is unique to this particular region.
@dibzgreasley@aglennc@maggiemae Thank you for the faves! We were were bobbing up and down on a little boat in the middle of the lake, trying to keep the camera steady!
Loved those fishermen on Inle Lake.....and, you caught a perfect one with the sunset emanating from his fishing cage!! And, I am so glad we are back in sync.... ;-))))
Thought I'd already commented and fav'd, but apparently not. It's fabulous, great color tones and the composition is amazing with the way the ray spears the wheel.
Love the comp, lighting and awesome clouds!
