Spent most of the weekend cleaning out my son's bedroom in preparation for a long-awaited full-
house remodel. ( Never mind that he moved out 6 years ago!) I piled a bunch of stuffed animals and toys on a chair, at first thinking I'd give them away, but quickly realized that each had so many good memories associated with it. Stuart Little in the red sports car is an all-time favorite. These lucky ones escaped the donation bags and made it into an upstairs closet to await their fate. Or perhaps to wait for the grandkids...
Cute shot of a priceless collection. I know the feeling. I finally did what you're doing now when we moved from the house where our kids grew up to where we are now...... Wasn't easy. Consequently, a lot of it either came with us or it went directly to the kids who treasured it when they WERE kids. Are we going to see photos of the house reno progress?
@aglennc Sure! I'll post shots of the work in progress. Right now, half the house looks like a scene from the movie ET-everything's wrapped in plastic.
Oh such a lovely shot, the sepia automatically makes it a nostalgic shot. I think selecting a few special items to keep is the way forward (says I who has a whole room full of stuff to sort from when my children were younger!)

Some of the little creatures have traveled up the coast and some to Chicago where stories are shared and they entertain the grandkids! Others still reside under my roof, and when they emerge, it's not without some fanfare! They all actually look kind of cute around the base of the Christmas tree before the packages are set out!
