Saint Peter's Square by redy4et

Saint Peter's Square

Roman Tuscan columns are part of the colonade outside Saint Peter's Square at Vatican City. Tuscan columns are the oldest and most simple form of ancient Italian architecture. The columns are smooth ( not grooved), with round capitals and no other carvings or decoration. You can see a row of the native stone pine trees in the background on the right side of the photo.
Fabulous columns and that lovely curve against the blue sky - fav!
