Another shot of Washington state tulips from a bug's perspective. I read that in 1637 in Holland, during a period known as tulip mania, some single tulip bulbs sold for more than 10 times the annual income of a skilled craftsperson. Tulips were prized because they were different from other flowers. I just love the intense colors and the range of tones in the petals.
