We returned two weeks ago from an amazing journey through Scotland and Ireland. Our hike to the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye was challenging because we had to ford the river in a number of places by jumping from rock to rock while trying not to fall in and protect our camera equipment. At one point I slipped on a muddy embankment, my camera hit a tree trunk, smashing the glass filter, but the lens itself survived. I was grateful that I was ok and the camera wasn't damaged.
Oh gosh -- you really were doing some rugged traveling! But the images are so worth it. This one is stunning and a great way to convey the running river.
