Budding Artists

I spent a wonderful afternoon at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. I'm a fan of the Impressionists and especially enjoyed the new Degas exhibit. I spotted two little girls who .were engrossed in artwork of their own, busily sketching with colored pencils
that would be a wonderful exhibition to see

I love taking photos in museums of people interacting with the art. This is a lovely shot and an entertaining narrative. I love hearing the stories of how, where and why photo were taken. I'm not sure if I've been to that particularly gallery. There are so many. But we are visiting our daughter there again in April (if people are still travelling and using airliners then. Fingers crossed.) If so, I'll have to check it out. I have a soft spot for the Impressionists myself.

Great to see this. Difficult to see children interested in arts nowadays - the only thing they are normally interested in are mobiles. Beautiful scene and it looks like a piece of artwork within another.
