Fawn on the Lawn by redy4et

Fawn on the Lawn

As I walked out on the front lawn of our vacation house this afternoon, this cute fawn stood eyeing me.There's a huge population of black-tailed deer here on Orcas Island because they no longer have any natural predators. Locals aren't fond of the deer who eat their plants and flowers but for me, it's a treat to find them in my yard.
Such a curie, wonderful find and shot. I love to have them in my garden too.

A sweet capture. Have the authorities thought about culling by relocating?

Great rim lighting and I am ever so jealous of you being at Orcas. One of my sweetest memories from there was one night when Jim and I and all our kids swam in the phosphorescence in the SOund

@jgpittenger I’m sure that was a magical experience! I’ve always wanted to see the phosphorescence-missed it when it appeared in Orange County during the lockdown/curfew in April.
