Sunnylands Gardens

Another view of the artistic barrel cactus gardens at Sunnylands. What is so unique about compass barrel cacti is that they tend to lean towards the southwest to help reduce their exposure to intense sunlight in the hottest part of the day. Here the summer temperatures can exceed 120 degrees farenheit. The placement of these low-water leaning plants creates many interesting views and patterns. BOB.
What a fabulous shot of all these prickly leading lines, interesting narrative too.
