I've seen giraffes in the zoo but these two came out of the trees to cross my path in the early morning, accompanied by a couple of white herons. They are such graceful creatures! The legs alone can be six feet tall; their necks about the same length as the legs.Giraffes graze on leaves plucked from the tree tops and only need to drink water every few days.
Such beautiful creatures....and, such a thrill to see them up close. Yes, I think I have only spotted them at the Wild Animal Park.....they also have very long purple tongues!
