In this view of Waimea Canyon, from a different spot than my other post, you can see Waipoo Falls
that cascades 800 feet into a swimming hole for adventurous hikers. Helicopters often hover in front
of this spectacular waterfall. It's quite a sight! I got to see it from that POV on a trip to the island about 10 years ago. This time, we took in the view from a spot along the roadway.
Wow, this really is a painted landscape! The colors are so amazing with all those red rocks and the greenery.....I bet it would be amazing to hike down to that waterfall....is that the only one in this area?
The colors and perspective are amazing. That waterfall is incredible. Sounds as though you were on a roadway through this lovely canyon. WOW! Another big FAV
@panthora There are lots of smaller falls but this one is the largest in this area. I understand it's a strenuous hike to get to it. I've seen it from a helicopter- quite magnificent!
I thought you *were* on that helicopter ride! We loved our ride so much, we did it twice while we were there the first time! This is certainly view enough to satisfy the soul!
