Don’t know about a dollar short, but a day late for sure
All I could say to the *full* super moon was “Goodnight Moon” as it was entirely cloud-covered. But last night was clear when we went to bed. I woke up later and, well, this is what I saw. A day late, but I think the “non-fullness” gives “texture” to the upper-right. I hope you enjoy it.

@cohare Thank you, Christine! I took some cool tree blooms on campus today, but my wife said I had to use this one for today (taken 2:20 a.m.). She’s right: the tree blooms will be there tomorrow, but the super moon is what was happenin' this week for many 365’ers!
Thank you, @jendee3 Great, now I have to fess up to @cohare that the composition was created with cropping. All I had the presence of mind to do at 0215 was mount the camera on the tripod, put the tripod on the patio table, put the moon dead-center and press 9 times (changing the exposure slightly a few times).
@exposure4u@bella_ss@oneinodd Thank you, all! I wish I could say I composed it this way through the lens, but alas, the final composition was achieved by cropping. I do like my 55-250mm lens. :)
@sharonlowe Thanks, Sharon! First, it helps to know that I was an astrophysics major for 2 quarters in college, so things astronomical interest & fascinate me. Secondly, I could see when we went to bed that the sky was clear and the moon was still "pretty full." After going to bed, I woke up at 2ish. I peeked outside and when I saw how clear it was, I had no choice!
