I was hoping for something cool to present itself today. Alas it was a day that began with a tornado watch till 3 p.m. and thunderstorms: blech. The theme this week is numbers so instead of a depressing rainy-day shot, I thought this image might work: it illustrates Newton's third law about "equal" and "opposite," something definitely numerical.
For Day 100, I note that 6-8-10 is a Pythagorean triple — 6² + 8² = 10² = 100 — but that's just me being a nerd again. :-\

@angievega I really, really appreciate that, Angie!! I thought it was a bit of a stretch, so thank you!! Not as lovely as a certain butterfly posted today, but we nerds find beauty in some pretty quirky places — just ask my grad students! ;)
@exposure4u@digitalrn Thank you, Wendy and Rick! 100 days and no “filler” yet. But of course that results in lame posts when perhaps a filler would be a better shot… @bella_ss Thank you, Sheralee; I think so, too. :) @kerrynthekerryn Thank you, Kerryn! The background is actually another “puzzle” — a cube that unwraps and untwists to a “flat” snake of 27 smaller, wood cubes! I suspect you’ll see *that* eventually, too! I have lots of these “diversions” for students on my office table!
Congrats on 100 days! I've got an idea for my 100th photo which will hopefully not be ruined by weather. (at least I don't have to worry about tornado warnings on the west coast!)
@sharkeyshark Update: I will have to claim my square box tonight; otherwise it takes its contents to a charity sale tomorrow. So I have to transfer contents to "rescue" the box. Maybe *this* weekend?
I dont know why I have not seen this photo beforehand??
This is such an amazing photo, you have done so well with it, focus, perception, and a little selfie to add..
Congratulations on 100 days! Nice dof on this one! Good luck on the next 265. (Hope I subtracted that right. I teach preschool, and they don't do that yet!)
@michelleyoung It's a pretty obscure selfie, but it's there in principle! I probably ought to put up a real selfie for a profile pic … @sharonlowe Thanks, Sharon! Let me be like the college students and do that on my calculator (or cell phone-as-calculator) …
… Yep: 265! ;)
@harley84 Thanks, Katherine! I'm not proud of all my posts, but I'm proud of the fact that I haven't posted a filler yet. The day no doubt is coming, but for now the streak continues! Thanks for stopping by!
And now I'll stop with the geek-speak…
@angelique ha ha -- good one, Angelique! Thanks!
